Evensong at Glasgow Cathedral

Being a lover of Choral Music I attended Evensong at Glasgow Cathedral. The Cathedral which is also called the High Kirk of Glasgow is actually not a Cathedral as it does not have a bishop. However they have a professional choir - six women and five men who sang Evensong. Herbert Howells Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis was superb. In front of the Cathedral is a statue of David Livingstone of Africa fame and of course another of the many famous Scotsmen. After Evensong I walked back to the Baird’s hotel with Fiona and the five of us had dinner together that evening.
