Stornoway part 2

Our ferry did not leave till 2 pm so we went back to visit the Lews Castle museum that we had missed the day before. Last evening the rain had eased enough for a couple of pictures of the harbour - fishing boats and quite a number of sailing boats.


The museum describes the history of the Outer Hebrides from ancient times. Of particular interest are a few of the pieces of the Lewis Chessmen thought to be 800 years old.
